Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I realized I haven't posted on here for awhile and thought I would give an update to any of my fellow followers who are interested.
Since it has been a year since my last post and loads of things have happened. First off, GCSE's: I manages to get pretty good grades from my GCSE's which I took last year getting 3 A*'s, 6 A's, 1 Merit and 1 C. With these results I got into college and am now working until my fingers bleed! To all those people who say that GCSE is hard, they have a hell of a ride ahead of them! XD
At college I took Art, Graphics, Maths and Computing as my first year subjects. I found Art to be the hardest of the subjects I took since of the shear amount of work you have to do, especially since I didn't even take it for GCSE so I had no idea what I was getting into. However, I do feel after completing the course that it has improved my overall art skills which was what I took the course for in the first place. Graphics was not the type of graphics I wished to take; being Product Design rather then Graphic Design which is similar to the stuff I do now. Still, I managed to do really well in the course as a whole and I also really enjoyed learning about the steps taken to create a product. Computing has also been really enjoyable: being able to just create a working and functioning program from words and have it do exactly what you wanted it to do is extremely satisfying. Maths is just maths really, not much change there however; it has recently hit me how I can't perform well in an exam compared to in class, which has caused me to not do as well as I should.
After one year of college, I managed to get: Graphics = A, Computing = B, Maths = C, Art = D. I'm fairly happy with the grades, but feel I still could have done better
.
Now, on to all of my art work!
I have been producing a lot less work since I started college since 90% of my time was dedicated to work which was highly annoying. I have decided that I wan't to be a computer animator when I'm older and wish to take a university course for it in the future. This has naturally lead me to start focusing more on animating and familiarizing myself with some more complex and advanced industry standard programs. Autodesk Maya has been the program I have begun to learn, since I was able to get a free student copy from Autodesk themselves! Which is excellent since I can learn all about the program before I go to university and start learning about it there. I have been keeping up with my other work, although I have pretty much stopped making signatures entirety which is a shame but things change and I'm now working on more 3D based work. I may go back to doing signatures now and again, but that was just the beginning gateway into what I do now.
Since I took art in college, you may see a lot more traditional art pieces on here in additional to my other work, since I'm feeling more confident in using art mediums in my work. Plus, it's a good t hing to build up my portfolio with this kind of stuff for future reference.
That's it really, I can go into more detail but thats when I get a hell of a lot more boring and you won't read it XD but I hope you enjoy the work I have on here and that you have a lovely day!
Signing off
